Aim of 6K7V0010:
To examine your ability to identify developmental needs, and critically reflect on development, growth and future development needs as an employee in the sport and exercise sector.
6K7V0010 Task:
You will undertake work-based learning, identify and propose evidence-based solutions to critical situations, and appraise your ability, growth and developmental opportunities. This will be captured in a portfolio.
Requirements:
Undertake work-based learning and prepare a 3000 word submission. Submit your portfolio to Turnitin.
6K7V0010 Task details and instructions:
Students will prepare a 3000-word portfolio reflecting on key experiences gained through a work placement in a field relating to a career aspiration. Students will need to source, undertake, and critically reflect on this work placement.
Part 1 (LO1) – students will analyse a critical incident that occurred during the work placement and propose evidence-based solutions to overcome the incident (1500 words).
Students should provide a sufficient description of the work-based learning to provide a background to the topic and incident. Using an appropriate reflective model, students will then critically reflect on a critical incident that occurred during the work-placement. Suitable scientific literature should be utilised to propose evidence-based solutions to overcome the incident as part of an action plan.
Part 2 (LO2) – students will critically reflect on how the work placement has contributed to supporting their employability in sport and exercise (1500 words).
Students should assess key skills required in their chosen field before, and after, the work-based learning, to assess how the placement has contributed to development and employ ability. Key aspects that have been developed should then be expanded upon, reflecting on why these aspects are important for employ ability, and how they have been developed
