MD332: Assessment 2 brief
Overview:
These assessment submissions below are those tasks you were assigned each week between week 7 and week 12. You are being asked to submit all of the work that you undertook during this time. The assessment will be undertaken on all of the work (e.g. marks out of 100) so you should include all components. This assessment is 50% of your overall grade.
Assessment criteria:
- Your ability to self-reflect on your skills and abilities
- Your knowledge of entry level work and opportunities
- Your ability to communicate your skills and abilities in the form of a CV and LinkedIn portfolio
- The demonstration of your employability as evident in all of the submitted documents Submit a folder or one signal document containing Word files for the following:
1. List 10 of your hard and soft skills and 5-7 roles that you could use these skills in (from week 7)2. SWOT analysis and skills audit (from week 8)
3. Provide 3 job ads for entry level media work and write a bullet point list of the skills you have that make you suitable for that role (from week 9)
4. Provide 3 job ads for entry level non-media work and write a bullet point list of the skills you have that make you suitable for that role (from week 10)
5. Provide a link (e.g. in a word document titled [your name] LinkedIn profile) to your LinkedIn profile that does the following:
- Has a profile image
- Has the About section with a few lines on skills and interests
- Uses Featured section to post projects/samples of work
- Shows connections with peers, companies, employers
- Lists employment under Experience; qualifications under Education
- Lists any Skills gained on projects, assessments, etc.
- Lists any Accomplishments such as projects completed, awards, nominations
6. A one-page CV that has used a CV template such as Canva and that has the following:
- A short bio that states your value and/or aspirations
- Link to updated LinkedIn profile
- Your education (HE and FE)
- A bullet list of key skills, and sliding scale of level of ability
- Work experience with short list of relevant responsibilities and/or accomplishments You may use GenAi for the purposes of producing the CV but we urge caution in using it effectively.
GenAi tools such as Chat GPT are only as good as the prompts you give them, so you should use it only to format and present more effectively and concisely the information you provide it
