This legal opinion is worth 20% of your final Business Law paper.
When submitting the legal research project, you should refrain from asking me any questions about the legal research project. Any questions should be detailed in your answer to the legal research project as points requiring further clarification.
You have from 5 pm on 2nd May 2025 (cut-off date is 5 pm on 12th May, in keeping with the flexible deadline policy), to complete and submit the legal research project.
The legal research project must be submitted electronically via Moodle by 5 pm on 12th May 2025. Go to the Legal Research Project Post Box on Moodle and submit your legal opinion post. Don’t forget to press the Submit button.

This is a research assignment, and you are expected to identify sources other than those I refer to in the course.
Please submit the final version of your work via the Moodle submission box on the ACCTP576-25A Business Law page. Please submit your electronic file as a Word document (.doc, .docx). No other formats will be accepted or marked.
Remember to give yourself at least half an hour before the cut-off time to submit your completed legal opinion.
The legal opinion submission box closes at 5 pm, 12 May 2025. THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSIONS FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT.
Instructions: You are required to answer both Part One and Part Two
Part One (20 marks)
Instruct any AI software to generate a 1000-word essay with references on the following topic:
If the Treaty of Waitangi is considered part of New Zealand’s constitution, how should the Judiciary apply it?
With reference to the AI output, critically evaluate the generated answer from the AI software.
With direct reference to the output, you must provide examples and explanations of:
- Where the AI did well (i.e., provided correct information)
- Where the AI made errors or was incorrect
