Assignment task – CRI7003 Managing Intelligence and Investigations Senior Level Strategic Document

You will be presented with a document that has been hypothetically produced by an
‘intelligence analyst’. You are then expected to produce a Senior Level Strategic
Briefing Document detailing the next steps you wish to take.
The document you receive will detail a transnational organised crime member and the
current intelligence about them.The briefing document must be completed in the style of a report and must
demonstrate:-The critical analysis of your planned investigation/operation.
-The use of academic and other relevant content to support and assess.
-Consideration for ethical, legal and professional issues in managing investigation.
-Effective leadership and reflection on technological trends.All students are given the opportunity to submit a draft of their assessment for
formative feedback in preparation for the summative assessment. This opportunity is
specified in the assessment brief. In addition, students are asked what kinds of
feedback they find most helpful, and they will have an opportunity to self-assess and
peer-assess their work before the submission.
