The objective of this assignment is to explore and analyse the various factors that can impact registered nurses’ ability to influence national government health policy.

By understanding these factors, students will gain insight into the challenges and opportunities that nurses face in advocating for policy changes that can positively impact healthcare systems at a national level.

1. Research:

a. Conduct thorough research on the topic of registered nurses’ involvement in national government health policy.

b. Utilise a variety of sources such as academic journals, books, credible websites, and policy documents. Focus on recent publications (within the last five years).

c. Take notes and compile relevant information, including key factors.

2. Factors Analysis:

a. Identify and analyse the factors that impact nurses’ ability to influence policy.

b. Consider internal and external factors.

c. Potential factors:
