Description of the assessment
This is an individual assessment piece. You are required to produce an individual piece of written work on the following topic:
Developed countries must do more than reduce emissions.
If developed countries do not make significant and absolute reductions in their emissions, there will be a progressively smaller carbon space available to accommodate the development needs of developing countries. Comment on this statement. Do you agree or disagree? Justify your reasons by properly citing reliable sources. You can refer to the African, Asian, and European case studies discussed in length in the lectures.
Details:
- This submission should be in essay format (i.e. not report format)
- The Word Limit is 800 words. I accept ±10%, anything beyond this limit is penalised by not offering any marks for the word limit section. In addition, the work will not be marked beyond the 1000 words limit, hence you need to make sure that your essay is limited to 1000 words.
- Use the Harvard Referencing style
- The deadline is 12 noon 20th May (tbc).
- All essays are to be submitted via the TurnItIn portal on course resources.
- You must submit your work using your student number to identify yourself, not your name. You must not use your name in the text of the work at any point. When you submit your work in TurnItIn you must submit your student number within the assignment document and in the Submission title field in TurnItIn.
- This assignment is worth 20% of your module mark.
- Feedback will be provided within 3 working weeks of your deadline date
