16.05.2023 Lecture on media representation.

Group discussion where we read an article and then discussed the contents of the article and feedback to the main class.

Before the session, I had gone through the material sent by the module leader, and I was really forward to learning what was meant by media representation. One new thing that I learnt was the hypodermic needle theory (Harrison, 2021). Although I did not agree with the theory. It made some sense. This event was an eye-opener. Going forward, I will always filter everything I watch or read in the media, knowing that being a passive recipient of media messages can be dangerous.
