Part I – Evaluate Media Information (50 pts.)
· Identify a current hot topic trending on social media. Use five steps to evaluate the media information (Refer to page 10 for detail explanation of each step)

Part II Use a Pictorial Representation to Tell the Story (50 pts.)
Using Convenience Sampling identify a group of people (at least 50) to answer a question or statement regarding your chosen hot topic from Part 1, Create a Graphic Picture that offers a clear and meaningful summary of statistical data from college life/experience. Additionally, after collecting your data explain if your convenience sample is a representative sample of college life/experiences. (Graphic Picture Example: Section 5D-Page 341)
Helpful Steps To Creating Your Graphic Picture:
Slide 10- (Title Page- 2 Statements Related To College Life/Experience with Data)
Use convenience sampling to conduct a survey about the two statements selected. Tell the statistical data (percentages) of your convenience sample group who agree with both statements selected. On this slide be sure to include: (Two Statements, Amount of Agree/ Disagree and Percentage of Agree/Disagree with each statement)

Part III – Presentation (25 pts.)
Presentation Requirements:
Everyone is required to give a presentation of Project 1 as their Midterm introducing a hot topic to the other members of the class. You will prepare for your presentation by reading articles on your selected topic. Other sources, such as web resources, may also be appropriate. There are no strict rules for the format of the presentation, however all slides and wording must be clear and visible to all viewers. Presentations may be delivered using PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi, Google Slides, Canva, etc. Though there is some flexibility in the required presentation, the presentation must include the following:
· 5-10 minutes in length
· Font Size 18 or higher
· Business/Professional Attire Required
· Creativity Encouraged
