Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to provide the student an opportunity to reflect on the Course Level Student Learning Outcomes, some of the End-of-Program Outcomes, and Leadership Role-Specific Competencies acquired through the DNP8100 course.
Course Outcomes
This assignment provides documentation of student ability to meet the following course outcomes:
This course is designed to assist students with identifying, analyzing, and evaluating the key public health issues confronting the provision of population-focused health care. This course will help the DNP students to assess community health among all demographics, including vulnerable populations explore possible screening interventions & strategies to reduce health disparities.

Critically analyze health policy proposals, health policies, and related issues from the perspective of consumers, nursing, other health professions, and other stakeholders in policy and public forums.

Employ leadership in the development and implementation of institutional, local, state, federal, and/or international health policy.

Educate others, including policy makers at all levels, regarding nursing, health policy, and patient care outcomes.

Design, evaluate, and provide leadership for health care policy that shapes healthcare financing, regulation, and delivery. Advocate for social justice, equity, and ethical policies within all healthcare arenas.

Integrate interprofessional collaboration and the DNP indirect care role across diverse healthcare settings.

Utilize DNP leadership strategies for advancing healthcare policy in selected healthcare systems change.

Requirements
1. The Self-Assessment Assignment is worth 100 points. It will be graded on the quality of self-assessment, citations, use of Standard English grammar, sentence structure, and overall organization based on the required components as summarized in the directions and grading criteria/rubric.
2. Create your essay using Microsoft Word (a part of Microsoft Office), the required format for DNP Nursing assignments unless specified otherwise. You can tell that the document is saved as an MS Word document because it will end in “.docx.”
3. Follow the directions and grading criteria closely. Any questions about your essay may be posted under the Q & A Forum.
4. The length of the assignment is to be no less than 300 words and no greater than 1000 words, excluding the title page and reference pages.
5. APA format is required with both a title and reference page.
